Will the snow ever stop? Portsmouth has seen two storms and one two-hour delay for its schools in less than a week. Oh, to stroll barefoot through Prescott Park and enjoy the summer musical! Alas, that will come in due time, and just days ago it was announced that "Beauty and the Beast"is this summer’s big event. For now, however, it seems we have to continue braving the cold. At least the following things to do are all indoors, so we can at the very least stay warm and dry.
Compositions in Chocolate is the name of the 19th annual Chamber Music & Chocolate Festival to be held on Wednesday, February 20 at Portsmouth Middle School. Admission includes chamber music and your choice of three delicious chocolate desserts. Tickets are available at the door for $7. The event begins at 6 p.m.
Head downtown on Wednesday night, February 20, for Game Night at The Press Room from 8:00-11:00 p.m. Choose from video games, board games, chess, checkers and card games while enjoying cocktails, beers and bites.

Check out popular, Toronto-based funk, rock and soul group, After Funk, at 3S Artspace on February 23 at 8 p.m. They’ll be accompanied by The Trichomes are known for their funk, fused with psych rock.
