University of New Hampshire: Best Late Night Food Spots
It’s late at night, you’ve been studying for exams, and suddenly you realize you’re starving. But it’s late, like really late, and there’s nothing to eat in your dorm fridge. Have no fear. There are several local late-night spots around the University of New Hampshire, but not all of them are open past 11 p.m. If it’s getting to be past midnight, head out to the neighboring towns of Dover and Portsmouth for some more options. Here are the best late-night eateries offering up just about anything you could be craving at all hours of the night.
Open for dining until 10 p.m. on weeknights and 11 p.m. on Saturdays, the Dover Brickhouse is just a few minutes away from UNH, and their food is yummy. Enjoy burgers, sandwiches, fish and chips and more. Their loaded nachos and artichoke spinach dip are amazing.
Open until 10 p.m., Durham House of pizza serves up the classics by the pie or by the slice. They have an eclectic menu of specialty pizzas, too, as well as salads and breadsticks.
Located in Dover, just 10 minutes from campus, Fury’s Publick House has late night eats that are comforting and hearty. Choose from smoked gouda mac and cheese, Rayzah’s Cubano, and ale battered cod. The prices even agree with most college student’s budgets.
Soup, chili, sandwiches, burgers and even a really affordable steak tips dinner all grace the menu at the Rusty Hammer. Serving food until 11 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and until 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, the portions are hearty and the casual, friendly atmosphere is welcoming.
Open late, Libby’s Bar & Grill serves up several offerings hungry college students appreciate. Enjoy sandwiches, burgers, seafood, steaks, appetizers and more. The nachos and waffle fries are big sellers.
Featuring an eclectic menu filled with healthy foods, Sonny’s Tavern in Dover is open late, and the portions are hearty. Where else can you find deviled eggs on the menu? A Mojo Pork Sandwich would hit the spot after a night hitting the books, too.
For some of the very best pizza in the region, a late-night visit to La Festa will soon find you chowing down on a slice or an entire pie. Open until 11 p.m., they also serve calzones, salads, hot and cold grinders and wraps.
Featuring Mexican street food, Tacomano is open until 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 1:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. Dine in or take your food to go. Their tacos, burritos, quesadillas and burrito bowls are made to order from a vast selection of fresh ingredients.
