The Rescue Run: Race for Marine Mammals is our largest annual fundraising event to benefit our Marine Mammal Rescue program. What better way to support SSC’s wildlife conservation and educational outreach work than taking part in our 5K through our beautiful seaside Odiorne Point State Park location!

Odiorne Point State Park 5K Trail
The Rescue Run: Race for Marine Mammals trail route through Odiorne Point State Park features varied terrain—you’ll run through the forest, by the rocky shore, across a sandy beach, and alongside historic military fortifications—and enjoy sweeping vistas of the Gulf of Maine and Little Harbor. Please check back for an updated trail map.
The 5K trail is not stroller-friendly. Please remember that dogs are not allowed in Odiorne Point State Park. An adult must accompany children aged 12 and under on the 5K.
Kids Fun Run
The Kids Fun Run features a 300-yard dash for ages 1-7 and a half-mile run for children ages 8-12. Every child that participates in the Fun Run wins a prize!
