If you haven’t heard of our little “school on the hill,” let us introduce ourselves.  We have an amazing, non-profit preschool program for children ages 3-5 years old living in Andover and the surrounding area.  As you can imagine our days are filled with excitement, exploration, observations, and experimentation!  It takes an awful lot of learning tools and supplies to keep up with our preschoolers and that is where we hope to have you become a part of our mission to develop our children’s love for learning!

Our theme is Everyday Heroes to honor those who work hard to help keep our world going on a day to day basis; Examples are police officers, fireman, doctors, teachers, military personnel and anyone else you consider an Everyday Hero in your life.

We would like to encourage racers to dress up in costumes for the race to honor the people who you feel help keep our communities thriving. Kids are also encouraged to dress as their heroes! They can be creative as they want whether their hero is a fire fighter, superman, or Chase from Paw Patrol!

We are also excited to be able to recognize our local heroes at the East Andover Fire Station.  We will be hosting a touch a truck event with both a fire truck and police cruiser.  To provide people with an up close look at the vehicles our local everyday heroes use.

We will have a 5K walk/run, a 1 mile run for kids ages 6 to 10, and a fun run for kids ages 5 and under.

Racers can begin arriving at 9:00 A.M. to pick up your packets that will contain your bib and t-shirt.

Race day will begin with the kids fun run around 9:15, followed by the kids one mile race, and then the 5K will officially begin at 9:30.

The race will begin on the Northern Rail Trail in front of the East Andover fire station. It continues down the rail trail towards Agony Hill Rd, where runners will turn slight right onto Agony Hill Rd. and follow that road until you see a sign on the left to cut through a small clearing in the woods, back to the rail trail and follow the trail back to the finish line.

There will be activities for the kids to participate in after they have completed the 1 mile race and fun run.
